Hush, Hush and Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick Review

This isn't really a review more of an opinion. Also, I am writing this while still reading. So I read some chapters then I add a comment over here.
The last thing I read was The Scorch Trials from The Maze Runner series.
Due to circumstances (my little brother couldn’t sleep at night and I had to stay awake) I started reading Hush, Hush (I'll nickname it double H case the comma is in another place in the keyboard and all).
I held the book in my hand and underestimated it. I felt very disappointed when I actually started reading it
THAT IS ONE GOOD BOOK.
don’t worry I am not going to spoil it. (I now read only 53 pages so no I can’t really write anything spoiling)
Do not underestimate it.
It grabs your attention from the first few chapters.....unlike a lot of authors whose first chapters are lists of names and places and relations...
chapter something page two hundred something.
I literally can't stop reading
I have a lot of other things to do.
I am a very curious person.I don't like it but am trying to keep it at bay during my life.
But when reading I like to keep things loose.
WHO IS FOLLOWING HER?
HOW DID HE KNOW WHERE HER HOUSE WAS?
HOW DID THE SCHOOL PSCH KNOW HE DROVE HER HOME?
WHO IS PATCH???
WHAT IS GOING ON???
WHY DOES SHE HAVE SO LITTLE SELF CONTROL? (not her fault but well….)
Now I honestly don't blame her.
I would have done the same.
Said the same.
Felt the same.
Its just I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON?
WHO ATTACKED HER FRIEND?
WHO WENT INTO HER ROOM???
WHAT IS HIS REAL NAME??
IS HE A FALLEN ANGEL??
IS HE THE ONE WHO THE BOOK STARTED ABOUT IN THE PROLOGUE. THE BOY WHO GRINNED AND MADE THE MAN OBEY HIM?????
The intensity of the book caused my heart to race …that when I paused reading my heart was beating really fast like I had just run a marathon!
Finishing the book
Oh, my…..
I fangirled about it all day to my friends…….
I want my own patch
Wait no maybe a little patch …..
With a little of a Jace Wayland….a William Herondale….a Jem Carstairs…shane collins…Stark no last name…Peeta Melark….
I swear books raise my expectations of boys a lot.
You should get the book.
Do not underestimate the plot or any other thing concerning the book because you will be shocked.
I think am going to go back to reading the third book of the maze runner series if I had time.
Being a sophomore. …not much luck with reading.
Plus SAT so that makes it no time to even breathe.
No am just kidding.
Okay am a little short on time and the
moment I stop studying I can't even read because am temporary blind and deaf….so…

Crescendo
well well
it started off a little boring but it paid off towards the middle.
Idk what to write about it tbh it was really great!

The book tag

1.The best summer book?
For some kind of reason, I don't read that much during summer, but there is this one book that I read all in one summer day. That was The Fault in our Stars.I know. I know. Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t crazy about it or anything. I will write a whole blog post explaining to you how I feel exactly about TFIOS.
This current summer though I am a little surprised It's been only a while like a few weeks and I read a whole book(I will do a book review once I finish the series.I finished 2 out of 4). I am reading the next one which belongs to THE BEST EVER SERIES THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS BY CASSANDRA CLARE. Again once I am done I will do a book review.
2.Worst book-movie adaptation that you watched?

Divergent and Insurgent. I can’t express my frustration upon seeing the movies. These links are from my former blog.
3.Have you ever dressed up as a Book character?
Never the same outfit, but the same characteristics yeah.
I mean if am scared I would try to impersonate a brave character who was feeling scared too.
I used this method while giving a presentation before. you know how anyone is while giving a presentation....so I chose a character (Amelie from Glass House series) for she was "contained".She would feel scared and worried but refuse to show it. It did work. I was more confident and messed up less.

4.The Best Quote from a book?
Maybe the same rules do not apply to you
I think of this very often. It really inspires me and makes me feel better about most of the things I face in life.
5.What light do you like to read best in?
I don’t mind any type of light except if it’s directed toward my eyes or it’s too bright because then my eyes start tearing and I really can’t read.My eyes are very sensitive to light but I often try to ignore this while reading.
6.Doggy Ears or Book Marks?
BOOK MARKS.(i prefer my books looking fresh and new. without a single scratch)
7.A good book that you liked but wouldn’t like to read again?
That would be Paper Towns by John Green.
8.Can you stop halfway through a series and never pick it up again?
never.i can't stop halfway in a book or series.I only did that once but no regret about that book, which is Looking for Alaska.
9.A book on your bookshelf that doesn’t belong to you?
I have quite much actually.
  • clockwork angel
  • clockwork prince
  • The host
  • marked
  • cards on deck
  • they do it with mirrors
  • Daemons mark
  • The Hunger Games trilogy
  • Eldest
  • Glass House
Well, I have siblings.
My sister used to read. My brother still read but he started downloading them instead of buying them.Books are really expensive.
10.The oldest book on your shelf?
Wizards of Waverly place: spellbound
11.The most Beat up book?
Princess Mia
12.The most expensive book on your shelf?
Clockwork Prince(collectors edition)Belongs to my brother
clockwork princess.Belongs to me
13.Is there a book that you received as a birthday gift?
yeah
  • The longest whale song
  • If I stay
  • Hush, Hush
  • Alienated
  • Where she went
  • To kill a Mocking Bird
  • Nineteen eighty-four
14.The last book you read on your bookshelf?
The mortal instruments city of Bones by Cassandra Clare.(I couldn’t get the rest…perks of being a high school and SAT student...but good news just before I travel for the summer vacation I got the second book, which I am currently reading. It is called City of Ashes..and I got the third one from here :) )
15.What is the shortest book on your shelf?
The amazing “Glass House” from the Morganville vampire series by Racheal Caine
16.How do you organize the books on your shelf?
I don’t have only one way. Every time I organize it differently.
A few ways include color, genre, books belonging to the same series, length of the edge, my preferences and that would be the end of my thinking capacity at the time.
17.The Newest addition to your shelf?
Alienated received as a gift from a dear friend.
18.Describe your bookshelf.
Not so thin nor so wide.
Light colored, wooden.
Consists of four shelves.
I only use the first two for books.
(Siblings….my youngest brother gets the last for school books. And the one in the middle has yearbooks and some other stories he reads, the atlas, and some files with tons of papers)
19.Do you write in your spare time?
Well, I want to write a novel and I recently created a watt pad account. I never used it and I constantly feel like I want to write and then I don't feel like writing...
But instead, I write here.
I had a former blog on WordPress but I feel it is really messed up and decided to try it here and it's going GREAT.
All of my blogs till now are adapted from there....
20.What is your most worn outfit while reading?
I read anywhere so there isn’t a specific answer to this question. I might be reading in a mall, in the house, on a trip, on a bus, in a hotel, and in a restaurant.
21.What is one series that you found repetitive?
I feel like the word repetitive has a negative connotation here so I’d say no one book is ever like the other. And as a reader, we shall never fail to see that.
But if the question is asking about some similar ideas.
I’d say that Divergent trilogy, The Hunger Games trilogy, and Matched Trilogy hold almost the same idea (which isn't a negative thing at all since each present it in a completely different way).I felt like all of them are speaking about putting down the unfair, evil society they are living in.
22.Which do you like most is a reader or a writer?
I honestly love both dearly.
Reading means exploring other peoples world through some letters connected together. While writing means allowing people to have a look at my little world through again some letters scribbled anywhere.
23.Your favored reading spot?
My bed. It's so relaxing. It doesn’t hurt my head or gets me a headache. It’s far away from all the noises. It's my airport center.
#airportcenter
24.Can you read with sounds around you?
Sometimes yes other times No.
Sometimes I can read during World War three. But other times I.just.cadodon't.
25.How do you feel when starting to read a new book?
Well, first I feel like I have to collect and remember every single small detail.I would even sometimes go back and reread them. Then I just calm myself saying if it's important the writer will repeat it.
I also feel like I want to read faster to get to know more and all.
26.When you hear one of your favorite books is being adapted into a film, what is your first thought?
I have been having this crazy idea about me directing the movie.
Or you know they would ask fan girls whether this movie is okay to publish. We get to fix it and stuff. But since that is never going to happen I thought about maybe fangirls doing their own book-adapted movie. I am unsure though how to do this. I don’t even that much time to think much about it.I have discussed this in an earlier post I got this very nice person saying they are in but am really sorry idk how am going to do that.
Maybe sometime later when I am done with high school and SAT.
27.Any songs that remind you of a book
yeah. The first song actually was recommended by a friend claiming that it reminds her of divergent. Having listened to it ….it actually does. Turning table from Adele.
The second is from a book suggested listening list. It describes the main character Claire from the Morganville vampire. And it was from the last book’s recommended list.Stand my ground idk by who
28.A book series that you’ve been wanting to get your hand on?
Several.
I think that is no question to a book reader. Because we always want to get books.
But some of the ones I wanted are The Harry Potter series, the Percy Jackson series, all books by Rainbow Rowell, the rest of the Mortal Instruments series, legend series, The Heir series, Thousand pieces above you series, the rest of hush hush, shatter me series, the knife of never letting go…….and the list goes on till you know forever.
29.Is there any person you look up to when searching for books to read?
Several book lover friends.Although it's been a while since I asked them.
-Yumna ( who recommended the Divergent Trilogy the first book of this genre that I like and thus caused me to start searching for more.)  When I feel like reading a good book I’d ask her.She recommends to me any good book she reads anyway, but I never remember them all so I go back to asking her what they were.
-Yumna She keeps recommending books that I don't read.
I want to read them. Sadly when I do, she would have already moved on to reading another.
-Lama my candor buddy.
And old vampire friend.
-Rawan The only person who fangirls with me over Cassandra Clare books. I recommended them and she actually read them!
-Shorouk we discuss books sometimes recommend some to each other.
-Shaymaa she always recommends books lately but I never get time to read them although I am dying to get my hands on them.
I hope I didn’t forget anyone.
30.Any Books that affected your life?
All of them affected my life.
For example, Tris’s bravery made me braver.
I will re adapt the post about book characters changing my life.....
31.How do you like boys and girls?
First I would like to mention a very important lessons books taught me(I already knew the lessons but books made it almost inevitable for me)
I DON'T LIKE SOMEONE BECAUSE OF HOW THEY LOOK. looks is an important factor but not the only factor in liking someone.
Throughout almost every single book I never fully remembered the authors’ physical description of a character. I liked characters because of who they are. What they say. How they feel. Not at all because of how they look.
So If I was to answer a question like this I would say it does not matter that least bit how anyone looks…but what I would like them to look like is not so cute but not so you know not cute….like A Herondale would be amazing to me. But Ky from Matched is just too much….
Okay so looks in real life do kind of affect impressions.how? If the person is taking care of how they dress and that and that. What they can't deal with like their features that Allah gave them I try best not to put those into consideration….but who am I kidding wouldn’t I like someone who looks cute with a good personality? Of course, I will.
Dark, smooth hair.
Taller than I am.
Muscular just a bit.(otherwise, it's scary)
Blue eyes I don’t like the green ones…brown eyes….hazel…whatever it is just not green
Good outfit.
No ripped jeans and low waist ones.
No big nose either.
That's for boys.
For girls.
Good looking hair. Or does the effort to make it look good.
Tris
Claire
Clare
Katniss
Nora.
But really it won't matter the way I would like them to look. A good personality is almost everything for me.
32.your thoughts about reading and the importance of reading in your life
Reading saves me.
Always.
And when people say they do not like reading I often explain to them that they just did not find a book they liked that would spark the reader in them.
Because how can someone not like reading? Don’t you read messages from friends?
Reading takes me to other worlds. I feel like I own the world when I read.
It's the key to a lot of life’s secrets.
I find myself in books.over and over and over.
Although sometimes I feel like I lost the reader inside but that is often discovered to be untrue.
I will always read. Maybe not always a novel. Maybe someday I will read a book about teaching children. I will always read the book of my religion. The Quraan. I will always read when I want to. Because reading is part of my life. I will always read.
